Request Lines Open
Got a song you want played during this week’s Rocktober’s Friday Night Videos?
Leave a comment with your request. DON’T link to a video, or things will bog down quickly. Just Song Title & Artist, with a line or two about why you chose it.
If you weren’t tuned in to NightSkyRadio last year (what’s your excuse?), check out the Ten Nights Of Hell Countdown –

P.S. Diddy, it’s in the queue.

Beat me to it in the PS!
Also, If you don’t object to mixing in a little jazz somewhere down the line, check out Chick Corea playing The Great Pumpkin Waltz.
Forgot the “line or two about why you chose it”
It’s probably the most tasty-est Halloween jazz cover out there (At least, I defy anyone to find a tastier) and the visuals are really neat on the Toob video.
I’ll check it out. Hopefully the World War I Flying Ace will appear in it somewhere.
Beat me to it in the PS!
P.S. Diddy. I’m so terribly painfully clever.
So incredibly clever that I didn’t even get it. Until now!
Come As You Are
(because it creeps me out, especially when performed by Civil Twilight)
Opening credit sequence of Werner Herzog’s Nosferatu the Vampyre. Because it’s probably the creepiest movie opening I’ve ever seen, and Isabelle Adjani’s scream is epic.
I’m totally renting that tonight (haven’t nearly caught up on my Halloween viewing)
Klaus Kinski. Best. Vampire. Ever.
Isabelle Adjani. Best. Damsel in distress. Ever.
Watched it last weekend and going to have to agree with you on both points.
Great ending, too!
I’m glad!
So, even better than Twilight, eh?
If you liked that, you might like another Kinski/Herzog collaboration, Aguirre, the Wrath of God.
Cool – thanks for the recommendation. I checked out a little bit and it looks like one of those “heart of darkness” type of movies; and in that vein, have you seen Valhalla Rising? Quite intense and kept lingering in my head for several days.
Yeah, Heart of Darkness, very apt comparison. I hadn’t thought of that.
I’ll look for Valhalla Rising. As I’m not a Netflix user or anything like that if may be a while before I get to it, but it’s on my list now.!
