HNY to NSR!
I was wondering if you every heard Yumi Matutoya. Totally another generation, but the music ages well. One of the great singer/songwriters:
If I’ve heard her, I don’t remember it. But upon a quick listen I like some of it.
At 48:25 it sounds really familiar somehow.
I know you used to like those City Pop compilations (or whatever they were called). Most of that music was from this era, and Yumi (or “Yuming” as she was affectionately called) is an icon of this era. So, probably that cut was in one or more of those compilations.
