The day shots are in some suburban area, probably also Tokyo. Maybe West Tokyo.
Or some rooftop green somewhere nearby? They’re wearing the same clothes in both shots.
So they maybe they shot the day sequences on a nearby rooftop, from afternoon into dusk, then after dusk they moved down by the water at night and filmed the dance sequence again. Then did some really slick editing.
