KIRINJI – 薄明 feat. Maika Loubté

A new Kirinji album dropped, and the single  薄明 (I think it means “Twilight?”) sounds really good.

  1. Nice track. I’m not familiar with Kirinji at all. The filming location is Yokohama seafront. Happy New Year!

    • I wonder if that’s where Mondo Grosso filmed their video for “Time.”

      Happy New Year!

      • You drove me crazy trying to figure out where “Time” is filmed. You sick person.

But I got it! Minato in Tokyo (very close to Tokyo Bay), by Shinagawa.

        So Hah!

The day shots are in some suburban area, probably also Tokyo. Maybe West Tokyo.

        • Or some rooftop green somewhere nearby? They’re wearing the same clothes in both shots.

So they maybe they shot the day sequences on a nearby rooftop, from afternoon into dusk, then after dusk they moved down by the water at night and filmed the dance sequence again. Then did some really slick editing.

Am I thinking about this too much?

You had a brush with them a while back here

            Everybody needs a hobby.

Also, cool pic. Nice scenery there.

            It’s a slick video. I like it.

This is the internet. If you think you’re thinking about it too much, then you aren’t thinking about it enough.

            • “If you think you’re thinking about it too much, then you aren’t thinking about it enough.”

I can’t not say that’s true, but on the other hand, I can’t deny that it’s not false either.
